and I'm back from my second natural climbing trip!

this trip featured a new place to climb, and loads of good company from friends sharing the same love for the same sport.

quickly went home to double check the things I needed to bring after my first and last paper, and prepared myself for the crags! it was kind of exciting coz I've never been to Krabi, and my last climbing trip was in Europe with 5deg to spare. also, me and yx travelled alone. hehe!

upon reaching chiangmai, yx showed me around, brought me to the yummy beef hor fun soup place (I still miss the taste of the soup) and the bouldering gym. small, but many routes marked out. so we bouldered while waiting for the others to be back in Blue House, and also got my strength back since I didnt have time to train due to exams.

seeing the other climbers was like homecoming. I dont feel awkward or strange at all. andy, who tagged along for this trip, made a good "big brother" settling almost all the stuff. somehow, I feel closer to NUS than UMC. hmmmm.

anyhows next day started off with easy routes such as Reindeer Request, a 6A which I didnt quite send it. felt disappointed, but it motivated me to train more and climb more to send it. tried other routes over the past 5 days, till I fell sick one morning. so I slept the whole day. Jups came along as well, and he was the tour guide for my first ever multi-pitching! crystal and I tried, and we didnt regret. the experience was amazing, knowing that we're gaining more experience. view on the top was pretty. on the way up and down encountered the busy bumble bees hives. you can never get these kind of things in singapore. dinner was the most awesome time. we watched sports channel as we stuff popcorn into our mouths, played Skipbo while waiting for dinner (which we waited for 1 hour each for the food to arrive coz the whole lot of us swarmed the restaurant), chatted about our climbs and everything else, played Pool.

as time passed, some of us had to leave, so in the end it was left with 7 of us. we hung around in Airport Plaza, played Guitar Hero 2, dipped our feet into a tank of fishes for them to nimble, had yummy Japanese food for dinner, met Joseph (who was there for AUG), and had some alone time with yx. hehe.

even though I had gone to Bangkok, but it was like, 12 years ago? I had totally no recollection whatsoever. but fortunately we had Fel with us, so she showed us where was the place for good shopping and food. and of course, our accommodation was the best one ever! good and friendly service, clean room, pretty design, bright, and aircon with king-sized bed! we couldnt ask for more! shopping in bangkok was (Y). sorry guys, but we win you in shopping endurance and stamina!

overall, I felt that I really cannot always depend on people to tell me what to do, or just depend on yx to prompt to me to climb. I have to do it, I have to tell myself that I can do it and I will do it. on the other hand, travelling with yx was the best I could ever ask for. he really took care of me, cheered me on, yay-ed when I finished Magic Drop. I am lucky to have him by my side. (baby if you're reading this, get well soon from your fever okay?

alrighty. now that this trip is done, I'm really trying to push for another one before school starts. yx will not be free coz he has school. ): anyone any ideas? :D
