today is a bad bad day. earned myself new injuries and bruises from speed training. and hence, i didnt perform well today. and therefore, i felt demoralised. it's like, you feel so damn demoralised till you can cry. kx, i know how you feel now. (:

anws. had accounting tutorials in the morning. not that bad. den sent my lappie to the service centre again. dd software. den headed down to meet firos and hazlee, where i got my shoes. before that, i got a new cardigan and a shirt. and my bag is cfm 4kg today. damn heavy.

okayys. tmr i'm gonna get my knee guards. and i might be meeting xiao di for lunch, if boon says that i dont hafta go back to sch fo project.

ouhkay. i'm rather bored now, after looking thru what i'm supposed to do for my modules. facebooking; attacking ppl with my vampire and slayers. hahas.

anws. yest's yishun training was even more kns. did 10runs up the wall. without resting. did till i almost passed out. it was really very tiring. after all the girls had their turn, we took timing for 3runs. bruises and abrasions on my knees. but i guess these are what we hafta undergo to win NISCC. come to think of it, it's rather stressful. sighs.

slept omw home. my legs and arms are aching all over.
tmr's bouldering training. for saturday's Climberprix. gawd. i dont even know what bouldering is like now. hahas.

first day of sch was alrite. =]

first lesson: product design. the first thing Mdm Sue said when Dj and i stepped into the class: "this subject has a high failure rate". wells. Dj and i were like "omgg. gg-ed." hahas. but most of the lab mates who are in 3D are in the same class.

second lesson was CCOM. my tutor's an ang moh. but she has a bit of sound-like-german-or-french accent. but i think she's gonna be a nice tutor. went back to mp/sip lab. and woman, i finally saw your best friend! hahas.

third lesson: VR. easy peasy lemon squeezy lesson. but i need a refresher course. coz i've been focusing on Flash instead of EON and 3D max during mp/sip. Mdm Lye's teaching us. and since it's the first lesson, she let us off one hR later.

later on. Boon, Dj and i headed to the coffee shop opposite sch, where the boys had lunch, i had dessert. den Dj accompanied me to tm to look for my nike shirt. headed back to sch for training.

and yest's training was kns. legs and arms are aching! the things we've done are too many to list out. but basically, yest's training was for speed.

climberprix's on saturday, and i've yet to train on bouldering. i think i've forgotten how to boulder alr. omgoose.

anws. nanny sent the 4/5 girlies home last night. Tawfiq came along. thankew nanny! girlies love you! (((((:

okay. yishun speed training later. meetup with ckx at Velocity before that. for now, i shall rest my arms and legs.

i dunno if i should be happy or sad. maybe i should be feeling both ways. happy; coz i got selected for speed, and my best timing was 7.8seconds. sad; coz ber trained so hard for it, but she didnt get in. whereas, i didnt train, but i got it. having this whole dilemma feeling from the moment i knew i got in. =//

my new time table's out! 4 modules for this upcoming semester. and i'm super free on tuesday and wednesday! only accounting tutorials on tuesday, and its lecture on wednesday. so means i can book driving on those both days! OH! and not forgetting. i'm still in the same class as dj! yays! we're still best partners! hahas.

oh anws. had a small gathering at ck's house. drank a little. vodka + coke and barcadi + coke. chips and prata. played bridge. and the loser team had to gulp down half shot barcadi! hahas. luckily i didnt lose. or rather. i didnt gulp down. hahas. it was a nice gathering, although there was only me, nic and dj. (:

climb, cLiMb and CLIMB! no speed selection today, dued to the rain since 4pm. so we bouldered from 4+ to 9 30. just before the gym closes, the guys did stupid stuff which made everyone laugh like there's no tmr. hahas. anws tmr's a rest day, which is a good thing.

the lab's aircon has been down since friday. it came back for about 30minutes, den went off again. what a waste of time. and i realised. i cant work in such stuffy and ventilation-less environment; i'll just stone, and stare outta the window, instead of doing my work. =/ hopefully it'll be repaired by tmr.

Facebook's really fun! hahas. i love poking and slapping ppl, giving ppl tattoos. fun stuff. (:

project's finally coming to an end. heck those modifications. hopefully my doodoo supervisor will pass us.

time table's gonna be out this thurs. kinda excited to see how it's like.

today is not a working day. coz the lab's air con was down. for the whole day! imagine how stuffy and humid it was, even after it rained. useless! RARR!

anws. impromptu meetup with pang after dinner just now. passed him his eMaths1 book. for his higher maths elective. chilled at mcCafe. i dont really like mcCafe. coz all the liansters and bengsters hang arnd there. but it was pang's treat. so yea. oh we wanted to call zixiang. but he was too lazy, even after i "begged" him. lols. talked and talked. den headed to my meimei's shop and look for her. HER COLLEAGUES THOUGHT I'M HER YOUNGER SISTER! LOLS! so cutes.

so pang and i waited for her to knock off. while doing so, we walked arnd parkway like some lost souls. lols.

dinner at 85 again. wait, ckx suggested that place. but in the end, she didnt eat anything! except drinking sugar cane. doodoo.

Healthy Sushi? Here's The Raw Truth

Traditional Japanese sushi is a dieter's dream, thanks to its heart-friendly, low-fat ingredients. But leave it to us Americans to supersize it. What started out as truly lean cuisine now arrives in platters for one that could feed a family of four. Likewise, Japanese sushi kitchens don't use oil or mayo, says Hiroko Shimbo, chef and author of The Sushi Experience -- yet chances are your favorite sushi bar serves fried shrimp and spicy tuna plumped up with mayo. What's a calorie-counting sushi lover to do? Don't tackle a 20-piece sushi boat yourself! And follow our lead: Here's the skinny on the 4 fattest and leanest choices. Meshi-agare (Japanese for bon appétit)!

THE CHUBBIEST CHOICES
1. Tempura rolls Any tempura dish -- read: deep-fried -- is a big-time diet buster. A shrimp tempura roll, for example, can deliver 500 calories and 20 grams of fat. Plus, breading and deep frying boosts the cholesterol too.
2. Spicy tuna and other mayo-based rolls. Before you order, ask if the minced fish is mixed with mayonnaise. If so, that delicate roll may harbor as many as 11 grams of artery-clogging fat and 450 calories.
3. Philadelphia rolls Unheard of in Japan, this salmon and avocado wonder is schmeared with something a sushi purist wouldn't even consider: cream cheese. Calories for a roll start at 300 and rise depending on how much cheese is used. A clue: Two tablespoons of cream cheese add 10 grams of fat (6 saturated) and some recipes use four times that amount.
4. Dragon rolls and pretty much anything else made with eel and/or toro. Just one ounce of raw eel has 3 grams fat and toro -- sliced from the fatty belly of tuna -- packs a shocking 7 grams per ounce. Even though their fat is the heart-healthy omega-3 kind, all fat is still loaded with calories and the trade-off here is too high.

THE SKINNIEST SUSHI
1. Assorted sashimi Sashimi is sliced fish a la carte, and by omitting the rice that would make it sushi, you save 30 calories per piece. Plus, says Shimbo, eating an assortment of fish -- white, red, oily -- creates delicious synergies: you get the flavors and benefits of each. For instance, delicate white fish have fewer calories, while richer mackerel and salmon have more omega-3s. 2. Veggie rolls Cucumber rolls and tangy, pickled vegetable rolls are fat free and provide a pleasantly crunchy contrast to the soft texture of fish sushi -- and at only about 150 calories a roll. For a vegetarian entree that packs heart-friendly fat as well as some iron and protein, try a shiitake, avocado, and pickled ginger roll. That little sheet of seaweed that holds it all together? It gives you calcium, vitamins C and K, and folate.
3. Edamame (soybeans) Okay, okay, they're not sushi but they're a staple at sushi bars and one of the healthiest menu choices you can make, brimming with fiber, folate, iron, and protein. Half a cup of steamed edamame has 127 calories and a whopping 11 grams protein -- hence its nickname: "meat from the vegetable garden."
4. Tako (octopus) or ika (squid) Though high in cholesterol, both are even higher in protein, B vitamins, iron, selemium, and taurine, an amino acid that helps keep your arteries, heart, and eyes healthy -- for only 25 calories an ounce and almost no fat.

There you have it: sushi on a diet. But actually, it's just sushi the way it ought to be: naturally healthy. So don't hesitate to indulge. Eating at least 1 serving of fish per week can make your RealAge as much as 2.7 years younger.

alright. just a quick one before i work on my project.

today;

i was the first to reach my lab! hurhur. didnt expect myself to be there so early.

left for library at 12 to look for a reference book. den headed to Heeren to meet Jeremy and Justin. the boys walked arnd NUM for their flops. then, it was teatime buffet at Sakae! nah, actually it's lunch. yumyum yummy sashimi! their fren, Yi Gang joined us after awhile. the boys couldnt make up their mind on which type of flops to get. so i told them that vivo has the largest stock of Havaianas. so headed to Vivo. and, finally! they got the same ones. Justin got his pull-up bar after that. lastly, it was 'chilling time' at Starbucks. crapped our time away. it was cool. walked arnd the mall again, and i got my adidas tights! ((: and i swear i'm gonna save up money from now on. lols. Yi Gang wanted to have dinner at 85. but he was the only one who's hungry. so headed home in the end. =]


one incident just set me thinking:
when we say that we've decided to not care about that person, do we really mean it? or do we say it coz we were angry with that person at that point of time? "say what you mean, mean what you say". how many times is this saying really true? who actually live by that line? i only know that Beyonce does that, coz i've read her interview. but. oh wells. =/

anws. i think i'm supposed to blog about the bbq on sunday. and upload some pictures as well. but i'm kinda busy with this doodoo sip project, which is 10% away from completion! which means. i'm only getting one wk of holidays. but, it doesnt make much difference anw. i'll be rotting at home and climb.

i'm still wondering if i should get that rip curl wallet or the roxy one. if only i get a mix of them. then it'll be perfectly fantastic.
